Serbia’s public debt in January – 51.8 percent of GDP

Serbia's public debt at the end of January was around 30.58 billion euros, which amounted to 51.8 percent of the gross domestic product, the Finance Ministry said on Tuesday. Pročitaj više

At the end of 2021, the public debt was 30.13 billion euros, or 56.5 percent of GDP, while at the end of 2020, it was 26.67 billion euros or 57 percent of GDP.

In January this year, the Ministry said Serbia had a budget deficit of 8.1 billion dinars.

The most significant part of tax revenues is 55.9 billion dinar VAT payments and excise duties of 37.1 billion dinars. Expenditures reached 132 billion dinars. Non-tax revenues were 10.3 billion dinars, and the inflow of donations in January was half a billion dinars.
