Vladimir Lucic, director of Telekom Serbia and long-time ally of President Aleksandar Vucic, was seen on Saturday among SNS supporters at a rally in Vozdovac. The event was attended by Vucic himself, Finance Minister Sinisa Mali, Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic, Minister Ivica Dacic, and Prime Minister Djuro Macut.

Although Lucic was not seen in the officials’ immediate group, video shows him smiling as the crowd chanted “Aco Srbine.” When he noticed he was being filmed, he reportedly said: “No, no, no, no…” The clip was shared on X by opposition MP Marinika Tepić, who wrote:

"Here is Vladimir Lucic, general of Telekom and Vucic’s main media enforcer! Known now for the recording of his conversation with United Group’s Sten Miler about dismissing Aleksandra Subotic from N1 and Nova S — as a ‘promise’ to Vucic."

Lucic recently became the focus of public attention due to an audio recording published by OCCRP, in which he and Miler discuss the removal of Subotic, director of United Media, which manages outlets including N1, Nova S, Danas, and Radar. In the recording, Lucic claims Vucic requested Subotic’s dismissal and explains that the company must be weakened first.

He also stated that Vucic had already discussed the matter with Nikos Statopulos, president of BC Partners, United Group’s majority owner.

Responding to KRIK, Lucic described his relationship with Vucic as “strictly professional and institutional.”
