A crowd gathered in front of the Belgrade Misdemeanors Court as a show of support for Belgrade Arts University Rector Mirjana Nikolic who is being interrogated under an Education Inspection complaint.
The complaint against Rector Nikolic was filed over the break in classes because of the student blockade.
A number of prominent public figures, including actors, Belgrade University Rector Vladan Djokic, Democratic Party (DS) leader Srdjan Milivojevic and at least one professor at the Arts University Drama School.
If found guilty, Nikolic faces a fine of up to 50,000 Dinars (1 Euro – 117 Dinars) and the Arts University a fine of up to 2 million Dinars.
