Singer Jelena Karleusa called for violence against N1 employees in an X post on Tuesday.

Karleusa, a supporter of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, accused N1 of sowing hatred and lies. “You’re done sowing sick hatred and lies. The Serb people will not forgive you. I am telling you publicly JELENA KARLEUSA IS CALLING FOR VIOLENCE AGAINST N1 EMPLOYEES,” she wrote in the X post.

The X post comes after N1 reported her call for violence against student protesters in an earlier X post which used profanity to call the authorities to deal with “the blockader scum” immediately. That post was deleted from her X profile. She also called Vuc to let his Cobra (military special forces) security detachment loose, quoting a student chant about the Cobras.

Karleusa rose to fame while the Milosevic regime was in power in the 1990s as a star of what was called turbo-folk, a form of folk music using traditional and electronic instruments whose performers supported the nationalist rhetorics of the authorities at the time.
