MP of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Djordje Todorovic said Thursday that the N1 and Nova S television stations are generators of violence and suggested that the blockade of N1 TV is actually a response to the blockade of the Serbian state TV (RTS) and to the anti-violence protests.
“When N1 TV and Nova S TV organize you to block Gazela (bridge) you do that really well, but when Gazela shows up in front of their house then there’s screaming and whining,” Todorovic told a Serbian Parliament session.
He said the opposition is also prone to violence, adding that when it blocks the Serbian state TV (RTS) building and scares its journalists, it is given more space on state TV.
Todorovic stressed the opposition wants to come to power without election, but noted that they are not capable of organizing themselves and that they are controlled by N1 TV and Nova S TV, which are “generators of violence.”
