"I heard the president who said that the state will have the strength to deal with those who terrorize us and those who destroy the state. I also heard an outgoing minister who said that the Belgrade University rector should be arrested. I also heard the political leader Ivan Siler talking about the colored revolution that is being suppressed with the help of Russia. And those messages from the authorities seem schizophrenic to me," Ivan Zivkov, a sociologist, told N1.

"This is a worrisome moment in which we are now. We have entered the third, last stage of autocratic rule. In that stage, the government no longer has a majority and then the only way the regime can survive is the people - media, physical violence against students and demonstrators, legal violence that is carried out in Novi Sad against young people who have been arrested, legal violence against teachers and professors whose salaries are being cut off. It may be good news that this is their last stage, but the bad one is that it can last and it costs us a lot,", said Zivkov.

Mirjana Nikolic, TV Nova S editor, also believes that Serbia is not at the end of the crisis.

"Today was supposed to be the largest SNS gathering in Serbia, and Aleksandar Vucic wanted to use it to surpass the gathering in Belgrade that was held on March 15. Such a thing, a year ago, was unimaginable. We all know how those SNS rallies are organized and how people come to them, and now they failed to organize it in a hurry. It is true that the SNS does not have the great support they used to have, but that does not mean that it is not there. We must not forget that there is a group of people who are very comfortable with them and who support this. By announcing that the rally will last for three days, the government wants to show us that there will be a lot of people at it, and all this is to highlight the deadline for the formation of a new government or the decision to go to the elections," stressed Nikolic.
