The Spanish Foreign Affairs Ministry said that the recognition of Kosovo passports does not in any way imply the recognition of Kosovo’s independence, reported the Reporteri.net portal.
“All countries that do not recognize Schengen have accepted the use of ordinary Kosovo passports. This in no way implies recognition of Kosovo. Without this modification, the holders of these passports would have problems visiting the countries that do not recognize them,” said the Spanish Ministry in a reply to KlanKosova TV.
It noted that Spain continues to support the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue as a way of resolving outstanding issues and their impact on the citizens.
