Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) leader Ivica Dacic said it was in Serbia’s best interest that Aleksandar Vucic be the Serbian president and that he be the Prime Minister.
Dacic was speaking at the SPS – United Serbia – Greens of Serbia coalition convention held in Belgrade in the presence of 20,000 people.
“This is the best solution for Serbia’s political stability – not for me personally, but for state and national interests,” said Dacic.
He said the goal of the Socialist Party of Serbia is to ensure the stability and security of the people, which is why he expects victory in the upcoming elections, together with the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).
“The times ahead require experience, stability and unity. I hope that, through my years of service, I have gained experience that I will use to ensure the stability and security of our homeland, with the smart leadership of our President Aleksandar Vucic. If the people want me to be the Prime Minister, we can do a great deal together,” Dacic told the main election campaign rally.
