It added that it will act accordingly in discussions on a new Serbian government.
In a press release, the SPS said that, at its meeting, the Presidency expressed unanimous support for the policies and work of SPS leader Ivica Dacic.
“The SPS Presidency emphasizes that it is in Serbia’s interest to maintain peace and stability, and that all issues should be resolved through dialogue within institutions, rejecting any violence or attempts to seize power in the streets without elections through the formation of a so-called transitional or expert government,” the press release said.
It added that the party’s Presidency supported Serbia’s state policy, with particular attention to issues concerning Vojvodina and Kosovo and Metohija (the official name for what the Serbian authorities consider to be the country’s southern province), as well as the pressures and attacks on Republika Srpska.
A celebration marking the 35th anniversary of the SP’'s formation is scheduled for July 17, the party said.
