State Dept refuses comment on Zelenskyy visit to Serbia
The State Department refused an N1 request for a comment on the visit to Serbia by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“We’d refer you to the Serbian and Ukrainian governments for comment,” the State Department said in response to the N1 request.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy arrived in Belgrade on Friday afternoon, a day before his scheduled meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. He was met at the airport by Mining and Energy Minister Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic.
This is Zelenskyy’s first visit to Serbia. He is the 3rd Ukrainian president to visit the Serbian capital after Leonid Kuchma in January 2001 and Petro Poroshenko in July 2018.
