Statistics Office: More deaths than births in Serbia

The Republic Statistics Office (RZS) said there were 55,169 births and 89,486 deaths in Serbia in the first ten months of the year, meaning that there were 34,317 more deaths than births in this period.

“From January to November 2024, Serbia saw a decline in births by 832, or 1.5 percent, alongside an increase in deaths by 1,046, which is a rise of 1.2 percent, compared to the same period last year,” said the RZS.

In November alone, there were 4,999 births and 8,039 deaths.
