Statistics office says average age in Serbia 43

A press release said that the average age for women in Serbia is 45.3 and for men 42.5.

The RZS said that 63 percent of the population is aged between 15 and 64, followed by the population over the age of 65 (22.3 perent) with children under the age of 14 accounting of 14.4 percent of the population.

According to the RZS data, there were 61,052 births and 97,981 deaths in Serbia in 2023. The average age of men who died was 72.6 and women 77.8.
