Statistics office says birth, death rates drop

The number of births in the January-October 2023 dropped by 0.9 percent compared to the same period of 2022, it said and added that the number of deaths in the same period dropped by 14.7 percent.

The number of births by November 1 this year was 50,964 compared to 51,401 a year earlier and the number of deaths was 80,308 compared to 94,196 a year earlier, the RZS said.
