The Republic Statistics Office (RZS) said on Tuesday that there were 62,700 births and 109,203 deaths in Serbia in 2022.
It said that the estimated size of the population is 6,664,449 people.
According to the RZS, Serbia’s population dropped by 433,323 between 2013 and 2022.
Negative population growth was recorded in the Belgrade area, the RZS said and added that the highest population drop was recorded in the Southern and Easter Serbia Region.
