Stefanovic: It is a lie that I am the leader of a group of conspirators

At the press conference, Stefanovic said that the sources of those accusations were the Belgrade businessman Aleksandar Papic, the owner and director of the company Tim systems Toni Apostolovic as well as the former head of the Belgrade Criminal Police Directorate Ilija Milacic.

In the show published on the Objektiv tabloid YouTube channel, whose author is the MP of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Vladimir Djukanovic, Milacic stated that the then Minister of the Interior Stefanovic stopped the investigation against Belivuk.

Stefanovic said that he stopped performing the duty of the Minister of Police in October 2020 and that nothing prevented Milacic, if his claims are true, from entering the house in Ritopek immediately after the personnel changes, which is suspected to have been the place of several murders.

"Instead, the police broke in (to the house in Ritopek) only in February 2021," said Stefanovic.

Speaking about the allegations that he was part of a "conspiracy" organized by "foreign services" against Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Stefanovic said that he was ready to take the polygraph test immediately and noted that he wanted to protect Serbia, his family and Vucic from lies.

"If I had broken the law and done all this in the interest of foreign countries, this is the most monstrous of all lies. I am ready to take the polygraph test immediately after the conference to show what is true, and I hope for a polygraph test for those who lie," Stefanovic stressed.

The head of the Service for Special Investigative Methods of the Criminal Police Directorate (UKP), Tomislav Radovanovic, said on Friday that he was "convinced" that there was a parallel structure in the Ministry of the Interior (MUP) "with precisely selected people" and Stefanovic, whose goal, he said, was to collect data on Vucic and his family.

"I never said a word against Vucic, nor did I oppose his policy, let alone lead a group of conspirators," he said, adding that he believed he was "exposed to lies" because he worked for Serbia, Vucic and the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).

Commenting on the "Jovanjica" case, Stefanovic said that he provided support to the competent authorities and expected them to determine who and in what way asked the main suspect for the production of marijuana, Predrag Koluvija, to accuse the brother of the President of Serbia, Andrej Vucic.
