Stefanovic: Serbia can't join EU under current regime

Stefanovic criticized the regime for making no real progress on European integration over the past four years, claiming it cannot survive if Serbia gets closer to the EU. He emphasized that opening new negotiation clusters is meaningless without closing key chapters related to the rule of law, corruption, and media freedom.

He also accused President Aleksandar Vucic of maintaining power by trading Serbia’s resources for international support while neglecting democratic values. Stefanovic condemned the hypocrisy of Western leaders who publicly support democracy but back Vucic’s regime in Serbia.

Stefanovic concluded by stating that Serbia must fight for its own democracy and freedom, without relying on external forces, whether from the West, Russia, or China.
