Student protesters issue ultimatum to Serbian Government: Two demands must be met by evening of June 28

Student protesters from higher education institutions in Belgrade sent an open letter to the Serbian Government, demanding it fulfill two demands by 9 pm on June 28, 2025.
Their first demand is for the Government, in line with Article 109 of the Serbian Constitution, to submit a formal proposal to the President of Serbia to dissolve the National Parliament, paving the way for snap parliamentary elections to be called by 9 pm on June 28, 2025.
The second demand calls on the Government to urge the Internal Affairs Ministry to shut down an allegedly registered rally at Pioneers' Park and Nikola Pasic Square by the same deadline, in accordance with Article 18 of the Law on Public Assembly, in conjunction with Article 8 of the same law, the students said in their Instagram post.
The students shared the full text of their letter to the Serbian Government on Instagram Tuesday, along with a message: “We'll see you on St. Vitus Day. ULTIMATUM. It’s over when we say it’s over.” They indicated that more details would follow.
