At 11 am, students and citizens of Nis launched a five-hour blockade of five major bridges as part of the "555" action, marking five months of student protests in Serbia.

The demonstration blocked five of Nis’s busiest bridges—near Ured, Delta Planet, Roda, DIS, and Most Mladosti.

According to N1’s reporter, there are currently few people at the Delta Planet bridge. Protest organizers are stationed on the bridge, along with several vehicles. The blockade began at 11 am and will last until 4 pm.

"The symbolism is clear—five bridges for five months. We will stay here until 4 pm and then head toward Sveti Sava Square. It has been five months since the collapse of the canopy. We decided to mark that date and symbolize the entire movement," a student protester told N1.

During the blockade, various activities will be held to highlight social and political issues.

Once the blockade ends, protest marches will be organized from all five bridges to Sveti Sava Park, lasting until 5 pm.

Police are regulating traffic and preventing vehicles from accessing roads leading to the bridges.
