Students in Serbia are blocking three bridges in Novi Sad on Saturday, marking three months since the collapse of a canopy at the city's railway station that resulted in 15 fatalities.

The blockade of the Varadin Bridge, Liberty Bridge, and Zezelj Bridge is set to begin at 3 pm. While Varadin and Zezelj bridges will be blocked for three hours, the Liberty Bridge will remain blocked for 24 hours.

Students from Belgrade have also joined the demonstration, having set out on foot towards Novi Sad on Thursday in solidarity.

Protest organizers have urged participants to remain peaceful and avoid any incidents during the blockade.

The tragedy occurred on November 1, 2023, when a canopy at the entrance to the newly renovated Novi Sad Railway Station collapsed, claiming 15 lives.

The disaster has sparked a wave of protests across Serbia, led by students from the country's four largest universities.
