Students blockade Faculty of Orthodox Theology, dean calls police

“We call on all students to come urgently,” they said in the post on Monday morning.

Danas has learned that Dean Zoran Rankovic called the police, while students from other faculties are joining their colleagues from the theology school.

In mid-December 2024 students at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology voted to join the student blockades of colleges.

The Faculty of Orthodox Theology, as one of the constituent faculties of Belgrade University, is joining the student protests and expressing solidarity with colleagues from other faculties, they said at the time.

“We also express our position that it is extremely important to protect students from abuse and politicization of student protests,” the students added.
