Informer is not a media outlet, but a political newsletter disguised as a media outlet - students said on Saturday at a protest in front of the Informer's headquarters, where they read the key parts of the Code of Journalists of Serbia.

"They have no backbone and that is what allows them to bend and avoid the truth and objective reporting," said a student at the rally called by the students of the Faculty of Political Sciences.

The student parts of the Code of Journalists of Serbia, saying that a journalist is obliged to publish only what is true, adding that the Informer avoids that, as well as the obligation for journalists to be impartial, because they report in favour of the government.

The student emphasised that Informer also violates the rule on privacy protection.

"They don't inform, they persecute," the student added, referring to Informer headlines, which she said were "not information but fiction."

The student also said that a journalist must not hate but that this is the main rhetoric of Informer, which creates an atmosphere in which violence is legitimate.

The students, as she said, do not expect anything from Informer, but they want to tell them that they are aware that the fear of the truth can be seen in each of their headlines.

"This Code of Journalists is here to remind them that they have not been journalists for a long time. Today, in front of their door, we remind them of their responsibility," the student added.

After her speech, students hung parts of the Serbian Journalists' Code on the gate of Informer offices.
