Suspects in murder of FBiH deputy prime minister’s brother in custody

One of the two suspects in the murder of Djordje Mijatovic, the brother of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) Deputy Prime Minister Vojin Mijatovic, was detained on Tuesday, and the other turned himself in.

Both suspects are minors, aged 16 and 17.

The first suspect, who was detained, was questioned by the prosecutor at the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office Juvenile Department on Tuesday, and N1 was told by the Office that he will be held responsible for aggravated murder.

Following questioning, the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office Juvenile Department requested that the 16-year-old be placed in custody.

The second suspect, aged 17, turned himself in to the police on Tuesday.

Djordje Mijatovic was beaten to death in a children’s park in Belgrade’s residential area Vozdovac on Sunday evening.
