Tadic says Vucic creating animosity towards Cobras

Tadic said that the Cobras military detachment are honorable professionals who have been portrayed by Vucic as his private security guards, creating an aversion towards the unit in public.

“That elite military unit has been part of my life for almost a quarter century and I feel the need to react to Vucic’s scandalous statement and the manner in which he refers to the Cobras,” Tadic said commenting the current president’s threats to use the Cobras against protesters which led to chants of: Throw us the Cobras so we can play.

Tadic accused Vucic of portraying the elite military unit as one a Milosevic-era secret police unit, not the professionals they are.
