Teacher Sanja Strbac said that five teachers were reported to the government’s national violence prevention platform Cuvam Te! (Guarding You! in Serbian) because of the protests. “This is pressure, lack of freedom and a repressive measure I intend to respond to,” The Zemun Grammar School teacher said, adding that the report to the platform was anonymous.
“The seniors came to us and said they want to join the university students because they believe in their demands and the values they’re fighting for. We supported them. The next step was for us to stand with the seniors, all of age, with students from the University School of Agriculture. The report said we instructed minors to turn out for the protest. I only teach seniors,” she said and added that the whole thing is unpleasant and upsetting.
