Teachers strike in support of protesting students

The Union of Teachers of Nis, Nezavisnost Union, Union of Serbian Teachers and Education Union said that classes would not be held in their schools across the city.

“All four major teachers’ unions in Nis support the demands of our former students who have been paying homage to victims peacefully and with dignity and are demanding respect for the law, a more just society and institutions that do their job,” a statement said.

The unions called all teachers to show solidarity and suport the students in their fight for a better society.
