Teachers, parents and students turned their backs on the Education Ministry at a protest on Monday, and called it to meet their demands.

The protest organized by the United Educators, United Parents of Serbia and protesting university students was held under the slogan A Healthy and Safe Education. It ended with the customary noise made by people blowing whistles and trumpets and chanting.

The protesters said their key message is that the Education Ministry is turning its back on all the problems that fall within its jurisdication. The protesters turned their backs to the ministry building for 5 minutes and then said it should be shut down unless it starts meeting the interests of students and teachers.

They also want access to digitalization records which they suspect are a source of corruption.
