Serbian opposition leader Marinika Tepic told N1 on Wednesday that more protests will be held on symbolic dates.

She said protests over election fraud at the December 17 elections could be held when the Constitutional Court rules on opposition filings and on the dates that the Belgrade City Assembly, Serbian Parliament and Vojvodina Provincial Assembly are due to be constituted.

Tepic, deputy leader of the Party of Freedom and Justice (SSP), is one of the opposition officials who went on hunger strike to protest the irregularities at the elections. She said that the goal of her hunger strike was to draw the attention of the international community. “I can say that it made sense and was worth it,” she added.

She denied claims that President Aleksandar Vucic does not care what foreign officials say, adding that she has been told that his demeanor is completely different in those meetings. “That might be his tactics which have brought some success but it’s not at all true that he does not care how the European Parliament will react,” she said.
