Deputy leader of the Party of Freedom and Justice (SSP) Marinika Tepic said that “at night, masked criminals from the ruling party” had marked the entrances of buildings in the city of Kikinda where opposition councilors live with the graffiti reading “a Djilas thief lives here.”

Dragan Dilas is the leader of the opposition SSP.

In a written statement, Tepic emphasized that such “targeting and calls for lynching so far haven’t been recorded even in (Serbian President Aleksandar) Vucic’s Serbia.”

“We demand the police and the prosecutor’s office to respond as quickly as possible within 24 hours, or we will consider them accessories covering up the regime’s crimes. And our message to the coward Vucic: stop endangering people’s lives, keep your hands out of other people’s and the state’s pockets, pull your divisions of evil off the streets, remove your thugs from institutions, seek professional help, and for once in your life, keep your word and resign as you publicly promised,” said Tepic.

“After it has been tested on opposition members, the same model will soon be applied to every critic of the government and every free-thinking person,” said Tepic.
