Tepic: With these election conditions, Vucic will rule like Erdogan – for 20 years

In an interview with the newspaper Danas, she said that it has become evident that if the opposition does not finish the fight for electoral conditions it began, life will be like a dark fiefdom constantly "staged" by Aleksandar Vucic, "winning" through theft, blackmail, vote-buying, and media manipulation.

"We knew that if we demanded the postponement of the elections until autumn with better conditions, Vucic would not dare to organize elections with Nestorovic and fake lists. In the stalemate position that Vučić was in, some colleagues decided to turn a blind eye to all these expectations," said Tepic.

She added that anyone who claims that the opposition would have won in Belgrade if they had all come out together knows that this is not true.

"Vucic would simply have stolen even more. He is ready to steal as many votes as he needs," Tepic emphasized.

She highlighted that the part of the opposition that did not participate in the elections had warned even before June 2 that there would be fraud and irregularities again.

"Everyone, from ODIHR to domestic and foreign observers, pointed out numerous irregularities except for Vucic and the US Ambassador Hill, who explained that the elections were regular," Tepic stressed.

When asked if she feels responsible for the opposition not performing better in the elections, she said that the responsibility lies with those who misled citizens into thinking victory was possible.

"Our responsibility is only due to the fact that we may not have more clearly and forcefully presented to them what awaited them and that we were unfortunately forced to watch what they were subjected to on June 2," Tepic concluded.
