Theaters start 7-day strike in support of students

N1 was told that the theater troupes expressed full solidarity with the students and unreserved support for all their demands.

“Their struggle for justice, security, the right to freedom of expression and dignified living is a fight for all of us. We also offer full support to everyone who believes that our country can be a happier and more just place. We know our audience is among them,” they said.

The theater sources said that they are going on strike because theater is alive only when it is part of the community.
