
Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair said in Pristina that the NATO intervention 25 years ago was the right thing to do, and that he stands with the people of Kosovo.

He congratulated them on their courage and determination to use that for the liberation of the country, adding that being back in Kosovo stirs up emotions, reported Kosovo Online.
Speaking a joint media conference with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, Blair said he expects Kosovo to become part of the European Union in the future, Kosovo Online reported.
There are many positive things happening here that are positive for the entire world and I cannot wait for the day when Kosovo will take its place in the European family, Blair said.
Following his meeting with Osmani, Blair also addressed the Kosovo Parliament and said the country still faces challenges.
I cannot thank you enough for the welcome you gave me, I am honored, Blair told the MPs, adding that an agreement was reached 25 years ago and Kosovo freed so its people could live, hope again. He mentioned America’s “assistance” and that of many other countries.
Britain’s former prime minister said many states still do not recognize Kosovo and that efforts must be made to change that.
