Transparency Serbia said on Friday that there are no grounds to keep the contract to reconstruct Novi Sad railway station a secret as government officials have claimed. Pročitaj više

Transparency said in a press release that the publication of the contract documents can’t obstruct the investigation into the deaths of 14 people when a canopy roof collapsed at the main entrance to the station.

It said that it received a copy of the contract signed by the Serbian government, Serbian Railways Infrastructure company and the Joint Venture of China Railway International Co.Ltd & China Communications Construction Company Ltd proving that is not confidential.

Serbian government officials have claimed that the contract was a confidential document with the Chinese companies insisting on its secrecy.
