Vesna Turkulov, the director of the University Clinical Center of Vojvodina (UKCV), said Monday that there has been no improvement in the condition of the three people who were seriously injured after a concrete canopy at the Novi Sad railway station collapsed on November 1.
“We are still fighting for their lives, and additional diagnostics are being conducted, but their condition remains unstable. If necessary, further surgical procedures may be done,” Turkulov told reporters outside the UKCV.
Turkulov noted that medical teams have been reinforced and that psychologists and psychiatrists are working closely with the families of the injured.
She emphasized that there is a sufficient supply of blood available to treat the victims.
A concrete canopy at the main railway station in the northern city of Novi Sad collapsed on Friday, November 1, resulting in 14 fatalities.
