A press release quoted Macut as saying that “Serbia attaches great importance to cooperation with the United Kingdom, that it is committed to improving relations in the fields of science, education, health care, culture, energy, trade and digital transformation, and that there is potential for the additional connecting of the economies and encouraging new investment projects”.

He said that Serbia remains a reliable and responsible partner, committed to maintaining peace and stability, adding that it contributes to strengthening trust through initiatives aimed at economic connectivity, improving infrastructure and the free flow of people, goods, servcies and capital in the region.

That press release quoted Pierce as saying that the UK remains a reliable partner to Serbia, providing support for reform processes, economic development and strengthening the rule of law. “She highlighted the importance of preserving regional stability, as well as the continuation of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue,” it added.

FM Djuric told Pierce that Serbia remains strongly committed to strengthening international and regional relations, adding that regional initiatives are an important driver of the country’s progress. “The Foreign Minister informed her about the destabilising situation and institutional violence in Kosovo and Metohija, which the Serbian population in the province faces on a daily basis,” that press release said.
