UN rapporteur concerned over situation for human rights defenders in Serbia

“I am concerned about the situation for human rights defenders in Serbia. The authorities have a duty to create an environment in which people can defend human rights without fear,” Lawlor write in a post on X, tagging the Permanent Mission of Serbia to the UN in Geneva.

She added that “arbitrary arrests, surveillance, smears and any other forms of harassment are incompatible with this.”
