Serbian ultra-nationalist Vojislav Seselj has been indicted by the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT), his son Aleksandar told the pro-government Tanjug agency.

Vojislav Seselj heads the ultra-nationalist Serbian Radical Party (SRS) with his son Aleksandar as deputy leader. Aleksandar said that four other SRS officials had also been indicted on the same contempt of court charges – Milan Damjanovic, Ljiljana and Ognjen Mihajlovic and Miroljub Ignjatovic.

“It’s true that an indictment has been filed. This is a new indictment for contempt of court. That is an invented act which the Hague Tribunal allowed itself to introduce as a crime which means that whenever they feel that something is contempt of court they can indict,” Aleksandar Seselj said.
