University of Belgrade urges authorities to meet student demands

The University urged relevant authorities to fulfill all initial student demands as soon as possible, while calling on state institutions to protect all students, teachers, associates, and researchers.

It also demanded firm and decisive condemnation of all attacks on the physical integrity, honor, reputation, and freedom of action of academic community members.

An expanded meeting of the Belgrade University Rector's board, which included faculty deans, was held Wednesday at an alternate university location due to an ongoing student blockade preventing access to the rector’s office building. The meeting was closed to media.
