US Ambassador booed at Red Star basketball game

Hill went to the Red Star-Fenerbahce Euroleague game on Wednesday and was booed and heard abuse hurled at him by Red Star supporters. At one point a small group of them approached the ambassador’s security detail, asking them to take him out of the sports hall.

The Red Star supporters split into two groups – one shouting abuse at Hill and the other shouting offensive chants against Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

Hill came to the sports hall to see Red Star play after he attended an earlier Partizan Belgrade game.
