The US Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, revealed during an interview on the "Rubikon" program that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is actively investigating the recent terrorist attack on the Ibar-Lepenac canal. Pročitaj više

Speaking about the ongoing investigation, Hovenier stated that the United States has deployed FBI resources to assist Kosovo’s law enforcement authorities.

„We have provided and brought in FBI support in Kosovo to work directly and full-time with Kosovo’s law enforcement agencies to identify those responsible and ensure that the investigation is credible, comprehensive, and leads to appropriate conclusions,“ he said.

Hovenier refrained from commenting on specific details of the investigation, emphasizing that it is still ongoing.

„It is never a good idea for ambassadors to comment on law enforcement investigations. All I can say regarding the direction or findings of the investigation is that the US government is not yet in a position to draw conclusions or identify those responsible for this attack,“ he said.

The Ambassador assured that once the investigation is complete, the US will closely cooperate with Kosovo authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice.

„When we reach conclusions, we will work closely with Kosovo authorities to ensure that those responsible for this attack are held accountable,“ Hovenier said, as reported by Klan Kosova.
