The US State Secretary Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Mathew Palmer said on Wednesday that the administration of the newly elected American President Joe Biden would have the same "stable and continuous" approach to the region, as all previous country’s administrations had.

He told the Albanian Radio-Television he expected a new Kosovo’s government to be formed after early elections on February 14 „to assess its stand toward the dialogue with Belgrade“ on the normalisation of relations.

The US welcomes that new cabinet and will be its partner, expecting it to deal with different issues in the interest of the people and peace in the region, Palmer has said.

„We’ll be a good partner to the new government as we have been to Kosovo’s previous authorities. I believe the new government to tackle the issues which are still challenging, including the rule of law, transparent and responsible management, support of the economic growth and the development of possibilities for foreign investors,“ Palmer said.
