Veterans: Hunger-striking mother Dijana Hrka not feeling well

Dijana Hrka, mother of Stefan Hrka, one of the 16 victims of the canopy collapse at Novi Sad Train Station on November 1, 2024, began her hunger strike near the pro-regime encampment outside the Serbian Parliament in Belgrade on November 2, the day after a commemorative rally in Novi Sad marking the anniversary of the canopy collapse.

She is demanding the prosecution of those responsible for the Novi Sad disaster, the release of all detained students, and the calling of snap parliamentary elections.

The veterans told N1 that Hrka will speak to all interested media on Wednesday afternoon, at which point more details about her condition will be revealed.

On Tuesday, she said that she could barely stand and that she felt very weak, while the Fonet agency reported that a doctor visited Hrka on Wednesday morning.
