The State Department lent its support to European Union Special Representative Miroslav Lajcak and his efforts in the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue following fierce criticism by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
Kurti claimed that Lajcak was biased in favor of the Serbian authorities in the EU-facilitated talks. Other Kosovo officials have joined in the criticism of the EU envoy.
“The US State Department, in a statement to the Voice of America, praised on Monday what it called tireless efforts of Mr. Lajcak in the Kosovo-Serbia talks,” the VOA’s Albanian language portal said.
