Pro-government media have reported that Milija Koldzic, a member of the New Belgrade Municipal Council, has also resigned from his post, and that Aleksandar Jokic has stepped down as Coordinator for the Belgrade Electrical Distribution area.
The New Belgrade opposition had previously called for Koldzic’s dismissal after he was identified as one of the individuals who allegedly attacked students during a protest blockade at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. However, the vote for his dismissal failed to pass.
Zobenica came under public scrutiny following the emergence of a video in which he allegedly provided instructions on how to disrupt blockades and verbally assault protesters and politicians.
According to a recording shared by Party of Freedom and Justice (SSP) deputy leader Marinika Tepic, Zobenica can allegedly be heard urging members of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) to verbally harass opposition representatives and their supporters during protests, document these actions, and forward the footage to him for media distribution.
