Vojvodina bar association chief’s car torched

AKV Chairman Vladimir Beljanski told the Beta news agency that he suspects the arson attack was organized by lawyers with links to crime that he launched disciplinary proceedings against.

Beljanski said that he received threats that his car would be torched and others. “This is only about my work at the AKV and the disciplinary proceedings against lawyers involved in crime,” he said.

He recalled similar attacks against 2 judges in the AKV. Beljanski said all three attacks were intended to intimidate himself and the judges.
