The Vojvodina Bar Association (AKV) started a list of lawyers willing to offer legal assistance to students and members of the general public arrested at protests. The protests started after the collapse of a roof at the Railway Station in Vojvodina's biggest city Novi Sad.
The AKV board called lawyers to sign up for the pro bono work.
It also called the Serbian Bar Association (AKS) to call an immediate meeting of its assembly to decide on a week-long strike by lawyers across the country in a show of support to protesting students.
