European Parliament rapporteur for Kosovo Viola von Cramon MEP told Belgrade weekly Vreme that there are no ultimatums set before Belgrade on the Kosovo issue.

The weekly quoted her as saying that the Western envoys went to Belgrade and Pristina to offer a way to make progress in the Belgrade-Pristina negotiations and added that the European Union plan is linked to progress in the European integration process.

You can be sure that we are not here to set ultimatums, she is quoted as saying in comments on Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s claims that his recent meeting with five EU and US envoys included the delivery of an ultimatum – agree to the Franco-German plan or see the European integration process end.

According to Von Cramon, the Western envoys came to Belgrade and Pristina in good faith to get things moving and offer Serbia and Kosovo a way forward. She said the talks should focus on the essence as in the EU plan. It’s clear that everyone in Serbia knows that there will be no integration into the EU without an agreement on Kosovo, she said.
