Von der Leyen: EU not complete without Western Balkans

I want the people of the Western Balkans, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia to know: You are part of our family, your future is in the Union and our block is not complete without you, she said in her state of the union address in the European Parliament.

According to her, the time is right for the EU to look into the strength of its democracy and bring its partners together, including those who have started their journey to the union. We should expand democracy and the right way is to deepen our ties and strengthen democracy which starts with the countries on their way to the EU, she said.
