Milos Vucevic, the Prime Minister of Serbia, stated that for Serbs in Kosovo, every day is "terror," and that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, would like Serbia to make a "wrong move" to escalate the situation. Pročitaj više

He mentioned that „Kurti continues with his policy“ and that yesterday the authorities in Pristina „attacked the institutions of the Electric Power Industry of Serbia,“ expressing hope that someone from the international community would react, though fearing „they probably won’t.“

Commenting on Serbia’s prospects for joining the European Union, Vucevic said that the country „remains on the European path“ and that conditions have been met to open a new cluster according to the annual report, but that it „always ultimately comes down to a political assessment, whether we are politically suitable for someone.“

Discussing the new appointments in the European Union and the victory of the European People’s Party in the European elections, Vucevic said that it guarantees stability in the European Parliament.

He also noted that Serbia will obviously have more complex relations with the European Commission than with the European Parliament. „We might now have more people in the European Commission who are somewhat harsher or more radical on certain issues, while in the European Parliament the balance of political forces will be better than in the previous mandate,“ Vucevic said.
