He also expressed his condolences to the families of the 16 people who lost their lives in the collapse of a concrete canopy at Novi Sad Railway Station on November 1, 2024. He added that the state has been in turmoil since then.

“Tomorrow, on November 1, I will go to church to pray to God and light a candle for each of them and I am calling people to do the same. I know that people seek solace in gatherings in their grief, everyone grieves in the way they think is best, as long as they do that in peace, I fully support it,” he said.

Vucic said that he knows that many people are angry and feel helpless because the guilty have not been determined yet, let alone punished. “That is disappointing to me as well,” he said and repeated his call for a social dialogue.
