Vucic told the pro-regime TV Pink that Portugal, Germany and France will be better prepared to mine lithium which is why the agencies, which he did not name, were sent to prevent Serbia from becoming the first to start exploiting its lithium reserves. He said it will take at least three years to get the process going if the government decides to do it.
Vucic said that the lithium reserves in the Republika Srpska are part of the conflict over property and assets in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
